Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna

Il grandioso palazzo Vivarelli Colonna, così chiamato dal nome degli ultimi proprietari, è il risultato di successive aggregazioni di singole unità immobiliari. Le prime notizie sul palazzo si hanno a partire dal XV secolo quando era di proprietà della famiglia Granacci. Dal XVI al XVIII secolo fu proprietà dei Gaburri per passare in seguito alla famiglia Lotteringhi della Stufa. Nel XIX secolo il banchiere Michele Giuntini, allora proprietario, commissionò ad artisti fiorentini, un importante ciclo di affreschi. Dal 1857 al 1979 appartenne ai Vivarelli Colonna. Il palazzo è corredato da un giardino all'italiana ornato da una fontana a muro settecentesca, recentemente restaurato. Attualmente l'edificio appartiene al Comune di Firenze

The grand Palazzo Vivarelli Colonna, thus named after its last owners, is the result of several individual building units being combined into one. Earliest records of the palace date back to the 15th century, when it was the property of the Granacci family. From the 16th to the 18th century it was owned by the Gaburri, before passing into the hands of the Lotteringhi della Stufa family. In the 19th century, it was owned by the banker Michele Giuntini, who commissioned several Florentine artists to paint an important cycle of frescoes here. From 1857 to 1979 it was owned by the Vivarelli Colonna. The palace has an Italian-style garden adorned with an 18th-century wall fountain, which has recently been restored. The building is now owned by the City of Florence.
